The NIKOLSKY shopping center is located in the center of the city on the crossroads of the main streets of Sumska and Grigory Skovoroda, where a large part of the retail trade is located.

Source “Belgorodsky Krynytsia” is a historical monument and one of the oldest monuments of the place. From this place came Kharkiv, where the first Cossack settlements appeared in 1654.

St. Nicholas Cathedral is an Orthodox church, built in 1896, designed by the Kharkiv diocesan architect V. Kh. Nemkin, in the Russian-Byzantine style, on Mykolayivska Square. The name of the project is tied to the Cathedral of St. Nicholas. Cathedral of names in the name of St. Nicholas of Myra. The cathedral was erected in 1930 – according to the official version, in connection with the construction of a tram line that turns from the square to Grigory Skovoroda Street. The temple was located on Constitution Square.

Constitution Square is the central square of Kharkiv, which immediately emerged from the sleep of the place. Nearby there are small booths on the square with an architectural monument. The Kharkiv City Council and other central authorities of the city are located on the square. The square opened at the same time to the construction of the Kharkov fortress. Since the 17th century, the square has been called Yarmarkova, because shortly after two centuries since 1659, the Assumption Fair was held on it – one of the largest in the empire at that time.

Having improved the landscaping of the area: gasification of private areas was installed (gas was supplied from Shebelinka), a new water pipe was laid from Krasnopavlivka, tram (now 33) routes, trolleybus (36) and bus routes were increased lines (over 50); The rivers are ameliorated. 1975 open, metro (1978 expanded to another line) with a length of 18 km with 13 stations (3 lines are planned, 43 stations at a time). The trade border has been expanded, lighting facilities have been established and health care has been established: a number of sanatoriums and health centers have been opened in the outskirts of Kharkiv. 1976 Kharkiv had 70 hospitals with nearly 60,000 hospitals; medicines – close to 7,000.

Until now
Kharkiv is the only place in Ukraine that has been awarded the European Diploma. In fact, Kharkiv is the first and only place in Ukraine that Volodya receives a full set of awards for Europe: Diploma, Honorary Prapor, European Table and European Prize.
